Omni Air International / CWA-AFA Mediation

Baseline established 2026.09.14

Current Status

Omni Flight Attendants began their first official bargaining session on 2022.06.07. By August 2023, CWA-AFA reported that an NMB mediator was involved and that bargaining sessions would proceed through the mediator.

The parties announced a tentative agreement on 2026.01.09. Members rejected it on 2026.02.26 by a vote of 100 against and 73 in favor, with 173 votes cast and reported full participation. CWA-AFA then conducted a new negotiations survey in April. Its 2026.08.16 update said the committee was developing proposals and expected to meet with the mediator within the following several weeks.

Contract Timing

Verified public clock: As of 2026.09.14, 1,560 days had elapsed since the first official bargaining session, and 200 days had elapsed since members rejected the first tentative agreement.

CrewSignal has not located a formal amendable date in the reviewed public materials. Until that date is verified, this tracker uses the first documented bargaining session as its timing benchmark and does not label that date as the contract’s amendable date.

Process Signals

CrewSignal Assessment

Omni provides a direct test of whether CWA-AFA’s multi-carrier legal, economic, negotiating and communications resources can convert a rejected agreement into a materially stronger result. The relevant measure is not institutional scale by itself. It is whether the next package responds to member priorities and whether the renewed process moves with transparent, documented progress.

The 1,560-day bargaining record should remain visible beside any future headline gains so readers can evaluate both substance and time.

Weekly Updates

Dated Omni weekly reports will begin with the next regular CrewSignal reporting cycle.
