Explore CWA-AFA’s financial reporting and the separate Alaska and Hawaiian filing records. Preserve the identity and fiscal period of each reporting body: the two historical records are not a single combined-carrier budget, and affiliate transfers do not capture every cost of joint bargaining.
Current Status
Alaska Air Group completed its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines on 2024.09.18. The National Mediation Board found a single transportation system for the Flight Attendant craft or class on 2025.03.06 and certified CWA-AFA as representative on 2025.04.11.
JCBA bargaining began on 2025.03.18. In its October 30 Session 20 recap, CWA-AFA reported meetings in Seattle on October 26–28 and tentative agreements on Seniority, legacy retiree pass privileges and retiree health insurance. These are section-level agreements, not a completed JCBA.
The committee also discussed Grievance Procedures, Performance Based Pay and Retirement, and Training. It confirmed that NMB-led interest-based bargaining training occurred October 14–15 and said the parties planned to combine that approach with traditional bargaining. Training does not itself establish statutory mediation.
The committee reported more than 1,000 Reserve-survey responses and planned additional review November 6–9. The next management bargaining session was scheduled for November 16–18.

The counts above end on October 30, 2026; they are elapsed calendar days, not a measure of work completed or a forecast. CWA-AFA advised members in July 2025 that finalizing the JCBA could take 2+ years. CrewSignal records that as the union’s stated expectation, not as a guaranteed completion date.
