Scope and evidence
APFA represents American Airlines Flight Attendants through one independent union, national governing bodies, and internal base representation. This section examines who can make decisions, how members can change or challenge them, how contractual disputes move through the organization, and what the financial records reveal about funding.
The governing-document baseline is APFA’s October 2026 posted Constitution compilation, March 2026 Policy Manual, and current official 2024 collective bargaining agreement. Financial coverage begins with the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023, with earlier comparative figures where needed to explain a balance or trend. Later filings and announcements are identified by their own reporting periods and source status.
Sources: current governing documents and version notes; financial source coverage. Rules, proposed changes, scheduled events, and reported outcomes are identified separately throughout the series.

Detailed financial analysis
APFA FY2024 LM-2: receipts, spending, and balance-sheet changes examines the report covering April 1, 2023–March 31, 2024. It explains what the filing’s organization-wide spending categories measure, including the limits of using representational spending to assess service at an individual base.
The financial review distinguishes directly inspected returns from previously transcribed figures and APFA announcements. A missing document in this review is an evidence gap; it does not establish that a required filing was not made.
