Editor’s Note: CrewSignal uses public records to compare how unions structure, negotiate, communicate, and protect Flight Attendants during mergers and representation proceedings. It may raise questions supported by the record; it will not fabricate facts or state conclusions the evidence cannot establish. This report is informational and does not constitute legal, investment, or merger advice.
Status Summary
JetBlue’s October 26 results added a measurable commercial update to Blue Sky: the company reported that TrueBlue members had redeemed more than 1.1 billion points on United flights since the partnership began. That is cumulative usage, not a count for October 24–30 or a measure of Flight Attendant integration.
The public sources reviewed did not identify a new combined Flight Attendant agreement, common crew-administration milestone or United/JetBlue representation proceeding during October 24–30. This is a bounded public-record finding, not proof that no private work occurred.
Integration Dashboard
- The October 26 Form 10-Q describes continuing Paisly car-rental distribution through MileagePlus Travel. Hotels and travel insurance remained projected for year-end 2026, with flight-and-hotel packages and cruises projected for the first half of 2027.
- Earlier cross-carrier sales and reciprocal loyalty benefits remain customer-service milestones. The February 10 sales announcement and May 14 benefits announcement are carry-forward context, not new October launches.
- JetBlue’s filing identifies TWU representation for its Inflight Crewmembers and a December 13, 2026 contract amendable date. It does not announce a Blue Sky joint Flight Attendant contract or integrated seniority list.
- The original Blue Sky announcement described interline cooperation and independently managed and priced networks. The new commercial usage figures do not establish common Flight Attendant scheduling, qualifications, labor management, mixed crews or work transfers.
- A representation question can arise without a transaction formally called a merger. The NMB examines the actual integration of operations, labor and personnel functions, management, workforce and ownership. A commercial alliance does not automatically establish a single transportation system or require an election, and existing certifications remain in effect until the NMB issues a new certification or dismissal.
CrewSignal Watch Points
- Will dated notices confirm the remaining Paisly launches and specify which customer services are actually operating?
- Will an announcement establish mixed-carrier connecting itineraries and explain responsibility for disruption recovery?
- Will primary evidence identify shared labor control, centralized personnel decisions, common crew scheduling or qualifications, mixed crews or transfers of protected Flight Attendant work?
- Will an eligible applicant announce an NMB filing, identifying the craft or class and the action requested?
