Editor’s Note: CrewSignal uses public records to compare how unions structure, negotiate, communicate, and protect Flight Attendants during mergers and representation proceedings. It may raise questions supported by the record; it will not fabricate facts or state conclusions the evidence cannot establish. This report is informational and does not constitute legal, investment, or merger advice.
Status Summary
No new notable public reference changing the relevant Flight Attendant integration record was identified for October 17–23 in the sources reviewed. This does not establish that private implementation work or member-service activity stopped.
The controlling representation milestone remains the prior week's October 13 order. In R-7690, the National Mediation Board extended IBT certification R-6225 to the entire Flight Attendants craft or class at Republic Airways, extinguished CWA-AFA certification R-6499, and closed the case. That disposition is not proof that every contract provision, seniority application, training process, or operating system has been integrated.
Integration Dashboard
- The October 13 order records that both unions were applicants, no intervenor filed an application, and CWA-AFA had agreed to transfer its certification. It was a certification extension, not a contested representation election.
- The September 1 decision records January 22, 2026 JCBA ratification, an October 12, 2027 amendable date, and April 21 delivery of an integrated seniority list. Delivery does not itself establish implementation in every bid, base, or assignment.
- That earlier decision records boarding-pay changes effective July 22 and Republic schedule-adjustment changes implemented in August, alongside continuing JCBA implementation. Those are dated historical milestones, not new October 17–23 announcements.
- The December 15, 2025 union summary, expressly describing changes to the Republic contract, identified an October 12, 2026 scheduled pay increase. No new dated public confirmation of payroll execution was identified for October 17–23; equal rates and effective dates across both legacy groups are not inferred from that summary.
- The separate October 8 R-7697 decision concerns Mechanics and Related Employees. It records management's expectation of an FAA single operating certificate in 2028, not issuance of that certificate or a new Flight Attendant representation outcome.
CrewSignal Watch Points
- Which dated notices establish how the integrated seniority list now governs bidding, bases, assignments, and transition training?
- Which reserve, scheduling, payroll, benefit, training, and uniform provisions remain phased, and what dates and exceptions apply to each legacy group?
- What public confirmation establishes execution of the scheduled October 12 pay step and the applicable rates for each group?
- How will IBT communicate post-certification member-service, grievance, and steward arrangements across the combined craft or class?
- Which FAA approvals and operational milestones will replace the operating-certificate forecast with a documented completion date?
