Editor’s Note: CrewSignal uses public records to compare how unions structure, negotiate, communicate, and protect Flight Attendants during mergers and representation proceedings. It may raise questions supported by the record; it will not fabricate facts or state conclusions the evidence cannot establish. Status Summary

CrewSignal identified no new exact-week company or SEC integration announcement, Flight Attendant JCBA implementation notice, integrated-seniority-list update, or public NMB disposition changing the Republic / Mesa representation record. The NMB weekly activity report for August 17–21 listed no action in Flight Attendant case CR-7275 and no new airline representation application relevant to this transaction.

CR-7275 therefore remained the principal public representation proceeding. The case was docketed May 1 for an estimated 2,390 Republic / Mesa Flight Attendants and lists IBT and CWA-AFA together. The public record reviewed through August 21 did not show a single-transportation-system determination, request for a combined-craft showing, election authorization, certification, or dismissal.

The Merger Transition Agreement continued to define the parties’ joint architecture. IBT Local 135 and CWA-AFA agreed to file the NMB application jointly, created a joint negotiating committee, assigned seniority integration to the union parties, and agreed that neither union would oppose a single-carrier finding. Those commitments organize the transition but do not replace the NMB’s independent craft-specific determination or disclose the final certification and governance structure.

The standing implementation record also remained unchanged. The combined Flight Attendant JCBA had been ratified, Mesa Flight Attendants were to remain on Mesa benefits until completing Republic transition training and beginning work on Republic aircraft, and the unions had described seniority integration as proceeding under a date-of-hire standard.
