Allegiant / Sun Country

Week ending 2026.08.14

Editor’s Note: CrewSignal uses public records to compare how unions structure, negotiate, communicate, and protect Flight Attendants during mergers and representation proceedings. It may raise questions supported by the record; it will not fabricate facts or state conclusions the evidence cannot establish. Status Summary

Allegiant’s Form 10-Q filed on August 10 materially clarified the operational and labor sequence for the Allegiant / Sun Country integration. The filing stated that integration was underway, but that Allegiant Air and Sun Country continued to operate as separate airlines under FAA rules. Allegiant reported that it had applied for a single operating certificate, expected in 2028, and that its ability to combine operations would remain limited until the certificate was obtained and joint collective bargaining agreements were in place for the affected unionized work groups.

The filing also stated that Allegiant may be required to negotiate JCBAs to fully integrate the respective pre-merger represented crafts or classes and that, where necessary, those negotiations would likely begin after the NMB certified a single post-merger representative. For Flight Attendants, that statement places the unresolved relationship between TWU Local 577 and IBT Local 120 directly in the integration sequence without identifying who will file, whether the unions will proceed jointly, how members will participate, or what representation evidence will be submitted.

CrewSignal identified no public TWU–IBT Flight Attendant transition agreement, joint negotiating structure, seniority-integration protocol, NMB application, or NMB single-transportation-system determination during the week. The NMB activity report for August 10–14 listed no representation action involving Allegiant, Sun Country, or their Flight Attendants.
