Status This Week
CWA-AFA had scheduled Frontier bargaining for September 16–18 and a member negotiations Zoom for September 17. No written post-session account dated by the 2026.09.18 cutoff was located, so CrewSignal does not infer movement from the scheduled meetings alone.
Contract timing: Frontier’s Flight Attendant agreement became amendable on 2024.05.15. As of 2026.09.18, 2 years, 4 months and 3 days—856 days—had elapsed since that amendable date.
Process Signals
- The public status chart continued to show ten tentatively agreed sections, nine sections in play, seven to be proposed and one deadlocked section. Its most recent displayed proposal dates remained in August.
- Compensation remained marked for a CWA-AFA response after management’s August 11 proposal. Sick Leave remained marked for a company response after CWA-AFA’s August 26 proposal, with four issues publicly identified as open.
- The NMB weekly report recorded no new Frontier docket, reassignment, ratification or closure. Picketing, red-pin activity and member Zooms are legitimate pressure and engagement tools, but they are not themselves contract progress or a direct strike trigger under the Railway Labor Act.
CrewSignal Assessment
Frontier shows high mobilization and a regular bargaining calendar, but the public section count has not yet translated into a complete economic exchange or a visible September result. At 856 days beyond the amendable date, CrewSignal will credit the September session only when the parties disclose what moved.
CWA-AFA’s multi-carrier structure is visibly supplying staff, communications and cross-carrier comparisons. The advocacy test is conversion: stronger compensation, work-rule movement and enforceable tentative agreements rather than activity alone.
