Status This Week
Envoy’s public negotiations calendar placed bargaining on September 15–17 and a member Zoom on September 16. No written post-session account dated by the 2026.09.18 cutoff was located, so CrewSignal does not assign a tentative agreement, proposal exchange or other outcome to that session.
Contract timing: The published Envoy agreement runs through 2026.03.31, making 2026.04.01 the working amendable-date benchmark. As of 2026.09.18, 5 months and 17 days—170 days—had elapsed since that date. This is an amendable-date measure, not the bargaining-opening date.
Process Signals
- The last verified detailed account remains the September 10 publication covering the August 25–27 session: no tentative agreements, substantial convergence on portions of long-call Reserve language, remaining disputes over seniority and standby duration, and CWA-AFA’s first Scheduling proposal.
- The NMB weekly report did not identify a new Envoy mediation docket. The publicly documented process therefore remains direct bargaining unless the parties announce otherwise.
- A senior staff negotiator and staff attorney are attached to the carrier committee. The next measure of those shared resources is whether the Reserve and Scheduling work converts into signed tentative sections and whether the committee promptly reports the September session.
CrewSignal Assessment
Envoy continues to offer one of the more transparent proposal records in the tracker, but transparency loses value when a scheduled session passes without a durable written result. CrewSignal will carry forward the August baseline rather than manufacture progress from calendar entries.
At 170 days beyond the working amendable benchmark, Envoy is still early relative to several CWA-AFA cases. That makes this the period in which institutional expertise should prevent the process from becoming another multi-year negotiation.
