The August 25–27 Envoy bargaining session had concluded, but no written post-session bargaining recap dated by the 2026.09.04 cutoff was located. CrewSignal therefore does not backdate the later September 10 account into this reporting week.
Contract timing: The published Envoy agreement runs through 2026.03.31, making 2026.04.01 the working amendable-date benchmark. As of 2026.09.04, 5 months and 3 days—156 days—had elapsed since that date. This is an amendable-date measure, not a claim that bargaining began on April 1.
Process Signals
- CWA-AFA’s public calendar showed another negotiation week beginning September 14 and a member Zoom scheduled for September 16, providing a near-term opportunity for a written and live account of the August work.

- The NMB weekly report for August 31–September 4 announced no carrier-specific process change involving Envoy. Envoy is not identified in the FY2027 budget’s listed continuing CWA-AFA mediation cases, so the public record remains consistent with direct negotiations.

Envoy remains relatively early in its post-amendable period. Scheduled sessions and member briefings show an active process, but the objective measure is whether Reserve, Scheduling and economic language convert into section-level tentative agreements.
CWA-AFA’s multi-carrier negotiating and legal capacity is most credible when members receive a prompt written record of proposals, counters and results. CrewSignal will evaluate the August session when the union’s dated recap enters the public record rather than infer progress from calendar entries alone.
