No written Breeze bargaining update dated during the 2026.09.12–2026.09.18 reporting window was located. The public newsletter archive continued to display the July negotiations account as its newest detailed bargaining report.
Contract timing: Breeze is bargaining a first agreement, so there is no contract amendable date. The NMB certified CWA-AFA representation on 2024.05.08. As of 2026.09.18, 2 years, 4 months and 10 days—863 days—had elapsed since certification while the first contract remained unresolved. Certification is not uninterrupted bargaining time.
Process Signals
- The latest detailed public account still reported a Benefits tentative agreement, a Part-Time draft developed from shared bargaining resources and other carrier contracts, and several management counters still owed.
- The NMB weekly report did not identify a new Breeze mediation docket, reassignment, ratification or closure. Breeze also is not among the continuing CWA-AFA mediation cases specifically listed in the FY2027 budget justification.
- Without a carrier-specific mediation notice or later written recap, CrewSignal continues to classify the publicly documented process as direct first-contract bargaining.
CrewSignal Assessment
CWA-AFA’s multi-carrier contract library is visibly being used at Breeze, which is a legitimate institutional advantage. At 863 days since certification, however, the advocacy question is whether that shared expertise is shortening the path to a complete agreement or merely supporting an extended drafting process.
The absence of August and September written updates weakens accountability. Members should be able to see which sections moved, which counters remain outstanding and whether compensation—the publicly identified priority—is approaching an exchange.
