Status This Week
No written Breeze bargaining update dated during the 2026.09.05–2026.09.11 reporting window was located. The public newsletter archive still displayed the July negotiations update as its newest bargaining account.
Contract timing: Breeze is bargaining a first agreement, so there is no contract amendable date. The NMB certified CWA-AFA representation on 2024.05.08. As of 2026.09.11, 2 years, 4 months and 3 days—856 days—had elapsed since certification while the first contract remained unresolved. Certification is not uninterrupted bargaining time.
Process Signals
- The most recent detailed account still reported a Benefits tentative agreement and a Part-Time draft built from a shared playbook and other airline contracts, with management owing multiple counters.
- The newsletter archive’s lack of an August or September bargaining recap prevents verification of whether the scheduled late-summer work generated further tentative agreements.
- Breeze is not identified in the FY2027 budget’s listed continuing CWA-AFA mediation cases. Without a carrier-specific mediation notice, CrewSignal continues to describe the public process as direct first-contract bargaining.
CrewSignal Assessment
CWA-AFA’s comparative contract library is a plausible advantage, and the July account shows it being used. At 856 days since certification, the more important question is whether that expertise is accelerating a complete first agreement rather than producing an open-ended drafting process.
Transparency is part of representation quality. A multi-carrier union asking members to value its scale should publish enough current information to show section movement, management delay and the concrete contribution of shared staff.
